The EMG 40CS is a modern active humbucker designed for 5-string bass guitars. This pickup features two coils with ceramic magnets and steel magnet cores, allowing for a warm, rich sound with powerful punch and smooth, rounded high frequencies. The high output level is provided by the built-in EMG preamp, which also ensures quiet operation during pauses between notes, making the pickup exceptionally quiet when not in use. The EMG 40CS assembly requires no soldering for connections, making it quick and easy to install.
