The EMG 89 (Black) pickup combines two pickups into one housing, providing exceptional versatility. Its design features separate preamps and coils, allowing you to switch between humbucker and single coil.
Thanks to the Alnico V magnets, the humbucker sound in the EMG 89 is rich, warm, and powerful while remaining clear and articulate, similar to the sound of the EMG 85. The single coil mode, accessible via the included push-pull switch, offers a traditional Strat-like sound—bright and chimey. The EMG 89 performs well in both bridge and neck positions, making it an ideal choice for various musical styles.
