The DiMarzio Area J 5 Bridge delivers open, clear lows and smooth, transparent highs while maintaining a focused attack. The pickup's magnetic field is mild, allowing the strings to resonate freely without restricting their natural sustain. This model is optimized for 5-string basses, but may require modification to fit some instruments such as the Fender Jazz Bass®.

The Area J 5 Bridge is equipped with Alnico 2 magnets that add natural tone balance. With its integrated noise reduction system, this pickup is perfect for both studio and live performances, delivering a stable, high-quality signal without unnecessary interference.
