Hammered Dulcimer, ethnic stringed instrument, common in Greece, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine and Belarus. The wide upper deck with strained strings, the sound is extracted by means of hooks and hammers. It is used in folk and academic music.
The dulcimers are made in the shape of a trapezoid. Along the edges of the base, vertically along the oblique, there are three rows of pins for tensioning the strings. Their total number is 22 blocks of 4 holders. The top is made of spruce, the bottom is made of maple. Dimensions of the trapezoid: base – 67 x 82 cm, side – 42 cm. To support the strings, there are strips with round holes on the base.
