Ibanez first introduced the Soundgear guitar in 1987. All instruments of this line to this day remain the most common throughout the world. The current incarnation of Soundgear guitars can be considered a model GSR200. 4-string bass guitar Ibanez GSR200 BK has a thinner fingerboard with a thinner zero edge, compared to classic bass guitars. The instrument also has less weight, better balance, and a comfortable agathis deck window. The Ibanez GSR200 is equipped with two Ibanez Standard J and Standard P pickups and has controls for the volume of the pickup core, the volume of the bridge pickup, a tone control and a Phat Il equalizer.
