Lewitt partnered with Elgato to create USB microphones for content creators

Lewitt partnered with Elgato, the leading provider of hardware and software for content creators, to create a new kind of USB microphone and Elgato's first-ever microphones, Elgato Wave:1, and Wave:3. It's awesome that Elgato picked us among all the great microphone companies that are out there. Ultimately, it was our forward-thinking approach and expertise in high-end microphone technology that convinced them to partner with us.

Sharing many values and approaches towards technology, Elgato and LEWITT are both renowned for putting their whole focus on the user's workflow. Since you know us already, you also know that we don't hesitate to break with traditional microphone designs, even if that means to rethink the technology behind microphones from the ground up. We have directed all our expertise in creating high-end studio microphones to the streamer's workflow and needs, and we are pleased to say that the result is something unlike any other product on the market. Once more, we managed to push microphone technology further.

Clipguard - a proprietary anti-distortion technology for crystal clear sound

Wave:1 and Wave:3 boast high-end quality sound powered by a specifically designed cardioid condenser capsule that captures the perfect amount of detail. In intense situations in a game, it can get loud. In these scenarios, the microphone input can overload and distort which results as everyone knows in unpleasant sound. That is why we have developed a proprietary anti-distortion technology, called the Clipguard for the Elgato Wave microphones. It analyzes the audio input in real-time and gives you an additional 20 dB of headroom when needed making sure your audio is always crystal clear.

A feature set that lets you perform hassle-free

Wave:1 and Wave:3 both feature a switchable low-cut filter that helps remove low-frequency rumble and an internal pop shield that reduces hisses and plosive breath noise. The integrated 3.5 mm headphone amplifier converts your digital signal with 24-bit and delivers high-resolution, zero-latency monitoring. And the adjustable desktop stand can be mounted to most boom arms using the included adapter.

Wave:1 and Wave:3

Wave:1 and Wave:3 feature a cardioid condenser capsule that delivers detail-rich sound in broadcast quality. Wave:1 features a headphone volume dial that doubles as a press-to-mute button, and an LED ring to indicate mute status at a glance. Wave:3 additionally sports a capacitive sensor that mutes the mic feed when lightly touched and a multifunction dial that controls volume, input gain, and crossfade between the microphone and PC audio. In terms of digital signal processing, Wave:1 offers the industry-standard sample rate of 48 kHz, while Wave:3 delivers up to 96 kHz for extremely detailed sound capture.

Easy setups - hardware and software in perfect balance

In addition to hardware features and internal circuitry, what makes Wave:1 and Wave:3 specially geared for content creators is the accompanying Wave Link app - a multi-channel digital mixer for Windows and Mac. Wave Link turns Wave microphones into an audio hub that enables control of the microphone and up to eight other audio sources, all of which route through the microphone driver to be mixed with virtually zero latency. Separate outputs in the app let you create two independent mixes — one for yourself and one for your audience — which is essential for managing audio during live streams, YouTube videos, podcasts, even teleconferences.
