Top deck ATV (Aged To Vintage)

Vintage instruments are the holy grail of guitar sound. The wood of the body resonates better every year and the more time passes, the more openly and "played out" the instrument sounds. This character of sound is something that new guitars have lacked so much until today.

Using a special torrefaction process we called ATV (Aged To Vintage), we processed the Sitka spruce mass used for the top to achieve that very spacious and open sound of the "played" instrument. This procedure delivers amazing sounding Gold Series guitars right out of the box!

Ultra-thin electrostatic varnish

In order to unleash the full potential of solid wood, we use a special ultra-thin finish in our Gold series tools. The innovative electrostatic varnish technology significantly improves the wood's breathing and the overall sound of the instrument. The special UV treatment not only greatly improves the resonance of the case, but also makes this coating more scratch resistant.

Double heel lock

The junction of the neck and body of an acoustic guitar is another key factor in sounding great. That's why the Gold series guitars use the time-tested dovetail mount, reinforced with a special screw. This double-lock neck provides superior string reproduction and improved resonance.

For improved rigidity and stability, the Gold D6 neck has been reinforced with two rosewood inserts. As a result, it has excellent durability and reliability, while maintaining all the natural characteristics of wood.

Aggressively scalped soundboard ligaments

In order to further reveal the surround sound of the instrument, we paid close attention to the system of connections of the soundboard. Taking the modern X-bracing system as a basis, we have scaled it more than most guitars in order to lighten and "untie" the top deck. The result is improved vibration and incredibly open surround sounding every note.

Comfortable neck profile

Especially for the Gold guitars, we have developed a new neck profile for maximum comfort and playability. You will surely notice the rounded profile of the fretboard and that same feeling of your favorite vintage instrument, which fits perfectly in your hand.

Bone nut

The tracks of the Gold series guitars are made from Indian buffalo bone for a more natural transmission of vibration energy from the strings to the body and neck of the instrument. The exclusive Cort concave tailpiece dramatically improves sustain by optimizing the bending angle of the strings, while reducing string tension for comfortable playing.
