Klark Teknik DN32-DANTE
Klark Teknik's DN32-DANTE expansion card provides the ability to expand up to 32 audio channels to a Midas M32 or Behringer X32 mixing console. Based on information technology standards, Dante provides multi-channel digital audio transmission with low latency and synchronization. Focusing on flexible interoperability within the existing IP network infrastructure, Dante has gained wide acceptance and has been adopted by many manufacturers of professional audio equipment.
The DN32-DANTE has two Gigabit Ethernet ports that are connected via an internal switch. This allows the simultaneous merging of remote control data over Ethernet for the console with bidirectional multi-channel audio streams on a single cable.
When both the primary and secondary interfaces are connected, the secondary serves as a backup connection and is automatically activated if the primary connection becomes unavailable. Dante runs on a Gigabit or 100 MBit/s network infrastructure and requires QoS-enabled switches.
The DN32-DANTE card has a high-precision clock generator that can serve as the master clock generator for the Dante network and the console. Alternatively, the console can provide a clock generator that is distributed over the Dante network. Dante supports Unicast and Multicast streams and allows signal routing for each channel separately. All routing and device settings can be controlled from anywhere on the network using the Dante Controller application.
