Live Large With More Mediums! Like the trusty DJ mixers of yore, the VMX300USB features RCA inputs for mixing up your favorite vinyl cuts via your turntables, as well as tape, CD and mp3 players. But the VMX1000USB’s state-of-the-art USB connectivity enables you to also access your computer’s mp3 library, or digitize your own creative mix using your PC or Mac* computer. The VMX300USB also features a dedicated Mic Input for announcements, an impromptu rap – or any other vocal nuance. Talkback functionality is automatic when you speak into the microphone, just use the Talk knob to set the volume reduction of the music (“ducking”). If it can be clicked, spun or spoken, the VMX300USB can mix it!

Front Panel Discussion. In addition to the 3-band channel Kill EQs, you’ll find 3-way Kill switches on the front panel for the crossfader sources, along with a crossfader Reverse switch and Curve control – and the Mic and Phones connectors. These switches have 3 states: top position Holds the Kill function for that frequency band until you manually unlatch it; center position is for normal operation and no EQ Kill; and bottom Tap position is momentary and only Kills that frequency band until you release the switch. These EQ Kill switches provide much faster action than the channel Kill knobs, allowing you to make instant and dramatic changes in your program’s frequency content.
