The Yamaha MY16AT Digital I/O Card can be used with Yamaha DM2000, 02R96, DM1000 and Digital Consoles to provide up to 16 channels of simultaneous ADAT (Optical) I/O through a single expansion slot. All 16 channels can be used independently at up to 48kHz sampling rates, or the MY16AT card can be used for "dual-channel" connection to 96kHz recorders, providing 8 channels of 88.2 or 96kHz I/O.
Although the DM2000, DM1000 and 02R96 support 96kHz audio as standard, most currently available digital recorders can only handle 96kHz audio in 2-channel mode (using 2 tracks to create one). In this configuration, the DM2000, DM1000 and 02R96 use one channel for one (96 kHz) track, but must use twice the number of I/O connections.
