Zoom has a reputation for producing quality professional audio recorders. So when Zoom combined its audio and video expertise into the original Zoom Q8, it seemed like a winning decision. However, many felt that while the Q8 worked great as an audio recorder, its video capabilities let it down a bit - the main drawback was poor video quality. The Q8 model did not provide the video quality that everyone expected and the company Zoom did not stop there, and improved this model, releasing a new handy video recorder Zoom Q8n-4K, with the ability to record in 4K resolution (3840 x 2160).

From 4K video recording capabilities and 4-track audio recording to a flip-down color LCD display for taking selfie-style videos and optional remote control via app, the Zoom Q8n-4K is a powerful shooting tool for content creators, independent filmmakers and musicians who need their set-up to be small and portable. As the successor to the Q8, it provides numerous enhancements to form and function while maintaining the compactness and convenience of the original Q8. A 150° wide-angle lens with five field-of-view settings, combined with adjustable brightness and selectable lighting presets, allows for a striking visual effect, whether you're shooting handheld outside on a sunny day or shooting a band performance in a lit room. As for sound, the Q8n-4K features two XLR mic/line inputs with phantom power, suitable for connecting professional external microphones or main mixer outputs, and an X/Y condenser stereo microphone capsule, which can be replaced with several separately available Zoom microphone capsules.
