It fuses the superior sound of high-end analog studio consoles with the flexibility of a solid mobile interface – with all the connectivity you need for any recording or performance. The kit includes a virtual key to the full version of the software Arturia FX Collection 4.

Whether you work at home or are on the road recording and gigging, you want the sound a professional studio delivers. Now you can have it. We put the same meticulous craftsmanship into AudioFuse as our award-winning software reincarnations of the world's greatest synths. AudioFuse is built on a fully symmetrical audio chain, with every stage carefully designed to culminate in unrivaled sonic purity. The two custom designed DiscretePRO® microphone preamps combine the best of yesterday’s vintage consoles with today’s cutting-edge technology, giving you and your music superior audio performance.

Next-generation analog-to-digital converters deliver over-the-top audio quality with amazing transparency that reveals every nuance in your music.

Designed with your creative process in mind

Want to adjust the gain on channel 1? Turn the dedicated knob. Need to switch monitors? Press a button. Want more level in one of the headphones? Just turn up that dedicated knob. There are no menus in AudioFuse. Nothing is buried, so every control is always at your fingertips without any speed bumps. There's nothing in the way of your creative flow.

The Connectivity

Want do you want to connect? No problem! AudioFuse connects with virtually everything: mics, instruments, turntables, studio equipment, Mac, PC, Linux, tablets, even iOS and Android phones. It all happens with a round-trip latency as low as 3 milliseconds so you'll feel right in the groove every time.

The Quality

AudioFuse has a super-solid aluminum chassis you can trust, complete with a hard cover to protect it from damage in your bag—or even just dust on your desktop. The build quality goes far beyond a great-looking exterior, as well. Your unit has to pass rigorous testing before it can be packed and shipped. It even comes with a test specification printout of your exact unit. Meet your new highly-reliable best friend.

Press Clipping

"Audiofuse consciously moves away from the single-knob and break-out cable design of other audio manufacturers and instead opts to provide as much hands-on control as possible",-

The Sound

You take your sound seriously. We do, too. Pro studio quality was our mantra right from the start with AudioFuse—just as it has been with our faithful virtual reproductions of the greatest synths of all time. Now you can transform your desktop, hotel room, concert—whatever, wherever—into a studio with world-class sound. No compromises. Here's just some of our new technology that makes this possible.

1. The DiscretePRO® microphone preamplifier
First, we designed our own microphone preamps from the ground up. We decided not to use any third-party integrated amplifiers, in order to have total control over the performance of each component. Inspired by the classic designs of the golden age of analog, we improved them to the max using the latest generation of discrete components. One listen and you'll never look back.

2. Getting the timing right
While preamps are critical, the resulting analog signal has to be converted to the digital world for your computer, tablet or phone. The factor that distinguishes between budget and high-end digitizing is timing accuracy. That's why we built our reference clock on an exceedingly accurate, fully temperature-compensated oscillator with outstanding 20 ppm stability. We even paired it to a sophisticated clock recovery and jitter elimination system to ensure that you get the pristine sound you demand, whatever the conditions.

3. Obsessive attention to detail
It’s a well-known fact that the quality of an audio chain is never stronger than its weakest link. That's why we built AudioFuse with obsessive attention to detail at every stage, including a fully symmetrical and nearly capacitor-free input stages. Unlike most interfaces on the market, we didn't compromise audio quality by combining preamp and line in with an attenuator—they're separate signal paths. There's no breakout cable to degrade signal either—all connections are solidly onboard. Next-generation analog/digital converters deliver audio with startling transparency at sampling rates up to 192kHz. We even designed custom built potentiometers to our exacting specs. Sound serious? It is.

With AudioFuse you can plug in two microphones plus two analog instruments, and add up to eight digital instruments using ADAT. You can connect MIDI or USB keyboards, you can record vinyl LPs... the connectivity is unsurpassed.

Total hardware connectivity

Whatever you want to connect, we've got you covered. AudioFuse works with virtually everything: mics, instruments, turntables, studio equipment—you name it. Don't let its small size fool you. This little gem has 4 analog preamps, including a pair of phono preamps. There's also S/PDIF in/out, ADAT in/out, word clock in/out, inserts, MIDI in/out, both 1/8” and 1/4” headphone outputs, and two sets of switchable speaker outputs. There's even a USB hub so you won't run out of options. Just plug and play—literally.

With AudioFuse, the world is your studio. Plug it into any desktop, laptop, tablet or phone, connect anything you want and you're good to go—often without external power. It even comes with its own removable hard cover to protect the controls in transit.

What is DiscretePRO®?

It's a tough job amplifying a microphone's tiny signal to a working line level without introducing noise or distortion. We accepted the challenge. We succeeded.

So, along with a team of analog audio experts and sound engineers, we used cutting-edge technology to improve on coveted design ideas from the golden age of analog consoles. The result is an exceptionally pristine analog microphone preamplifier circuit that captures the nuances of your mics—and performances—as accurately as possible. It's called DiscretePRO®, and it's the preamp technology at the heart of every AudioFuse.

Audio Purity: Distortion

Any circuit introduces some degree of distortion, measured as total harmonic distortion (THD). The lower the THD of a preamp, the less it colors your sound with extra, unwanted harmonics. Part of our design goal with DiscretePRO® was achieving the least possible THD to give your sound the best possible linearity or 'transparency'. Our solution included minimizing the use of capacitors in the signal path, as they tend to negatively impact distortion levels. The result is the purest, most faithful sound possible.

This AudioFuse harmonics distribution chart shows that the 2nd harmonic is a huge 107,6 dB down from the test signal, indicating exceptional transparency. The 3rd harmonic, often associated with the harsh sound of transistors, is also crazy low. The higher harmonics that would produce a metallic sound aren't even present.

Audio Purity: Flat Frequency Response

Flat frequency response means more than just capturing recordings faithful to the original sound. It also means you don't have to mess around with EQ to get a natural sound like you do with most affordable mic preamps. While the benefits of flat response apply to any voice or instrument, it's even more crucial when recording a full-range source like a piano.

A little known fact: While the average person can only hear from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, flat response far above that range is required in order for a preamp to deliver flat response inside the audio range. One look at the frequency chart for the DiscretePRO® preamps built into every AudioFuse proves that we're talking about one of the most consistent frequency responses available anywhere—even out to 250kHz.

Audio Purity: Clean Gain

Sometimes you need to record sound sources that are really soft or have a lot of subtlety. For that, you need a preamp with a lot of gain. Unfortunately, designing for a wide gain range can lead to poorer performances at average gain levels. Many manufacturers accommodate this by just throwing in an attenuator on a signal path that does double duty for mic and line signals. Sadly, that compromises audio quality. Instead, DiscretePRO® lets you switch between two separate gain structures—one designed specifically for standard line levels and one optimized for microphones. Plus, there's a 20 dB pad to attenuate strong signals. Your music shines with pristine pro audio quality across one of the most extended gain ranges of any professional microphone preamplifier on the market.

The bottom line: It's all about your sound and delivering high-end pro audio quality throughout the signal path. DiscretePro gives you the front end to record, produce and mix the most accurate and transparent recordings available. It's time to hear what you've been missing.
