The AKG D112 MKII is a professional dynamic microphone designed for capturing kick drums, bass cabinets, and other low-frequency instruments. This updated version of the legendary D112 features an integrated flexible mount while retaining all the qualities that made the original a studio and stage standard.
The microphone can handle over 160 dB SPL without distortion, and its large diaphragm with a low resonance frequency delivers powerful response below 100 Hz. A presence boost around 4 kHz allows the sound to cut through dense mixes and loud environments. The D112 MKII provides a ready-to-use tone with no need for additional EQ.
An integrated hum-compensation coil reduces electromagnetic noise to a minimum, while the rugged construction ensures durability in both studio and live settings. The D112 MKII is also an excellent choice for trombones and guitar/bass amps.
