Yamaha BB434 is a continuation of the tradition of the famous BB series, which is characterized by high build quality and signature sound. This instrument combines classic features and modern innovations that can meet the needs of musicians.

The bass guitar has an alder body, which provides a balanced and rich sound. BB434 features a six-bolt end-mount neck. Such fastening ensures a tighter connection of the neck with the body, which improves the transmission of vibrations from the strings to the body, increasing the sustain and resonance of the instrument. The neck itself consists of five layers of maple and mahogany, which prevents deformation. The neck has a new, slightly thinner profile, which makes it more comfortable for different playing techniques. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. The bass guitar has 21 frets and a 34-inch scale.

The BB434 features YGD Custom V5 pickups using Alnico magnets. They retain the classic BB tone adding a vibrancy that cuts through the mix on stage. The instrument has a traditional control with two volume controls and one tone control, which allows the musician to flexibly adjust the sound.

The bass guitar is equipped with a Vintage Plus Light bridge with the ability to pull the strings diagonally through the body. This design means that the strings are bent at the saddles at an angle of 45º and pass through the body to the bridge, which significantly reduces string tension. This improves the transmission of string vibrations to the body, providing a reliable and efficient sound. It is also possible to fasten the strings behind the bridge.
