The Zoom M4 MicTrak is a portable 4-track microphone recorder that combines advanced recording technologies in high quality. The recorder records in WAV format 48 kHz / 32 bits with floating point. This device has a new case design with a special coating that minimizes mechanical noise, which ensures high-quality sound. Its built-in X/Y stereo microphones offer unmatched frequency response and ensure clear sound on your recording.
The M4 MicTrak is equipped with two combined XLR/TRS inputs with F-series preamplifiers. The color LCD screen with waveform display and timecode generator provides convenient control and precise control over the recording process.
One of the key features of this recorder is the Normalize function, which automatically adjusts the recording volume to the optimal level without compressing the audio. The Prerecord function allows you to record up to 6 seconds of audio before pressing the record button. This ensures that no important moment is missed. For monitoring and audio output, the M4 MicTrak features a 3.5mm headphone jack and a stereo line-out suitable for camera connections.
The device can work as a USB audio interface compatible with PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, making it a versatile tool for various recording conditions. It can also record to a microSD card when used as a USB microphone. With up to 19 hours of battery life from 4 AA batteries, this recorder is ideal for long recording sessions in the field.
The Zoom M4 MicTrak records to microSDHC (4 to 32 GB) or microSDXC (64 GB to 1 TB) memory cards and has a compact size. The recorder comes with a windshield WSM-2 and a user manual.
