The Zoom H1essential is a portable stereo recorder ideal for musicians, podcasters, filmmakers, and content creators. This device allows you to record sound in a 32-bit floating-point format, providing perfect quality without the need to adjust the input gain. It supports BWF and iXML recording formats, making it a versatile tool for professional use.
The Zoom H1essential is equipped with XY 90º stereo microphones capable of recording sound up to 120dB SPL. There is a choice of 44.1kHz, 48kHz, or 96kHz sampling rate, and information about the recording process is displayed on a bright OLED display with a resolution of 128 x 64. The H1essential can work autonomously for up to 10 hours from two AAA batteries or from USB-C. The recorder is equipped with quiet control keys that ensure ease of use. It has a built-in speaker for quick listening to recordings, as well as the ability to mount it on a tripod.
H1essential has many useful features such as overlay, auto-record, pre-record, and timer. It can also be used as a USB microphone. Among the features, it is also worth highlighting the presence of audio prompts for the visually impaired.
TRS 1/8” output is provided for connection to a camera or headphones for monitoring. There is also a TRS 1/8” mic/line input for connecting lapel microphones. The device supports recording on microSDHC (from 4 to 32 GB) and SDXC (up to 1 TB). The recorder measures 53.9 x 136.6 x 29mm and weighs 92g (with batteries), making the recorder easy to transport.
