The Zoom H6essential is more than just a recorder, it's a portable six-channel digital recording studio that delivers perfect sound quality with a 32-bit floating point. This avoids the need to adjust the input gain and preserves ideal audio quality without distortion.
This device supports WAV, BWF, and iXML recording formats. It features four XLR/TRS combo inputs that support phantom power (48V) and a professional +4dBu line input. The built-in X/Y microphones can record sound with a sound pressure level of up to 135 dB, which is equivalent to the noise of a jet aircraft. The device has a replaceable microphone capsule system 3.0, which supports recording in 32-bit format. There's also a 3.5mm mic/line input for connecting lapel microphones and a built-in mixer to adjust the volume of each track. 3.5 mm line output allows you to connect headphones for sound monitoring.
The Zoom H6essential can be used as a 32-bit audio interface for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android via the USB-C port, allowing you to record audio directly to these devices. It is also possible to record on SDXC cards with a volume of up to 1 TB. The device provides up to 10 hours of operation from two AA batteries or via the AD-17 adapter.
The Zoom H6essential is compatible with the BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter (sold separately), which allows you to connect the device to iOS devices for remote control. The bright LCD display provides a clear image for menu navigation. A special feature of this recorder is the availability of voice instructions for visually impaired people, which allows them to easily navigate the menu using voice instructions in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Italian, or Chinese.
