The Zoom R12 is a compact digital multi-channel recorder designed for musicians who want complete creative freedom. It allows you to record up to 8 tracks simultaneously and delivers quality sound thanks to 2 combo XLR/TRS inputs with phantom power and a high-impedance Hi-Z switch on the first input.
This recorder is equipped with a 2.4-inch full-color touch LCD, which makes control and editing simple and convenient. The Zoom R12 graphical interface allows users to edit recordings directly on the device without the need for additional programs. The front panel contains knobs for adjusting the gain of the first and second inputs, the volume of the headphone output, and the main output, as well as keys for controlling the recording. 10 faders allow you to adjust the signal level for 8 tracks, as well as for effects and the main master channel.
In addition, the recorder has input compressors, panning, and 3-band EQs for each track, as well as an effects channel with options for reverb, delay, chorus, or Guitar Lab presets. This allows musicians to customize the sound to their liking using Zoom's signature effects.
The P12 is equipped with a built-in USB-C audio interface that supports 2-in/2-out or 2-in/4-out. This function allows you to use the recorder as an audio interface for a computer or tablet.
The Zoom R12 supports power from four AA batteries (alkaline, lithium, or NiMH), which provides great flexibility in use. The device can operate for up to approximately 5 hours on four new alkaline batteries. Nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries provide about 5 hours of operation, while lithium batteries provide up to 11 hours.
Recording is performed directly on microSDHC/microSDXC cards, which provides convenience and mobility. All this together makes the Zoom R12 the ideal tool for musicians who want to create and edit music on the go, regardless of their location.
