MiniLab MkII's keybed strikes the perfect balance between comfort, size, and expressivity. Its velocity-sensitive Slim-key design gives you more notes-per-inch than full-size keys, while also capturing the impact and emotion of your performance. A 2-octave range gives you plenty of room for melodies, basslines, and chords alike, with instant octave switching for when you need extra.

The accessible pads are velocity and pressure sensitive which will give your drums a great, dynamic feel. The pads also feature RGB backlighting to help you clearly identify whether you’re launching clips in Live, triggering drum sounds, or tweaking presets in Analog Lab. You can also switch between 2 different internal pad banks, enabling a full 16 drum sounds or audio clips.

A number of interface design appointments make MiniLab MkII the professional’s choice for performance and recording. Add a pitch bend or modulation using the ultra-responsive capacitive touch-strips, and plug in a sustain pedal to capture that authentic keyboard performance. Better still, use its built-in encoders to easily adjust your sound on the fly.

MiniLab MkII comes with a complementary version of Ableton Live Lite: an introduction to one of the most intuitive and powerful DAW platforms around. A complete recording package that lets you record audio tracks, MIDI tracks, apply effects and combine your ideas into a complete song. It also features advanced time warping, pitch shifting, sampling tools, and virtual instruments.

We have teamed up with virtual instrument developers UVI to include the truly excellent Grand Piano Model D with MiniLab MkII. This sample-based virtual instrument has captured the sound of a classic Steinway Model D in meticulous detail, putting that rich, evocative tone at your disposal. Every note has been sampled at multiple velocity levels to create a dynamic, authentic sound.

A USB class-compliant design means no awkward installation process or clunky settings - just plug and play. It also means that MiniLab MkII can control iOS virtual instrument apps as well as software on your PC or Mac - perfect for on-the-go creativity.

Our free MIDI Control Center software lets you create, edit, and save different MIDI mappings to suit whatever project you’re working on. You can also save up to 8 of these MIDI maps on its internal memory. Recalling them is as simple as pressing ‘shift’ and hitting one of the 8 pads.
