DMX512 (Digital Multiplex) - a standard that describes a method of digital data transmission between controllers and lightings, as well as additional and equipment. It describes the electrical characteristics, the data format, communication protocol and method of connection. This standard is intended for the organization of cooperation in the communication and mechanical levels between controllers and terminals produced by different manufacturers. Versions of the 1986 and 1990 also describe cabling requirements and methods of laying indoors. Standard DMX512 allows you to manage one communication line 512 channels simultaneously.
