Types of travel guitars

What kind of travel guitar to choose for yourself?

If you play both electric and acoustic guitars, consider getting an electric guitar with a piezo bridge if possible. This will give you the ability to play silently while still hearing the acoustic tone. If you play an acoustic guitar, you have the hardest choice. You can buy a travel acoustic guitar, but the disadvantage is that you will not be able to play in silence, and it will be larger than many silent portable electric/acoustic instruments. There are many acoustic travel guitars that produce good quality sound, but don't expect amazing results. Your travel guitar probably won't sound as good as a regular guitar, and that's okay. The goal is to get a portable guitar that you can play away from home. So there's nothing wrong with giving up sound quality if you can take your guitar with you on a trip.
