Noble Audio

The young Noble Audio company quickly established itself as the creator of some of the world's finest versatile and custom in-ear headphones. The company's engineers take their craft very seriously, each pair of IEMs is handcrafted and perfectly matched by dedicated audiologists and passionate music lovers to ensure that you, the listener and the performer, enjoy your music as much as possible.

California-based Noble Audio is led by Dr. John Moulton, aka The Wizard, who has a PhD in audiology, and Brennan Mason, an audio enthusiast and co-founder of the company. The brand name is inspired by the literal meaning of the word Noble - "noble". Noble Audio is superior quality products that reflect the nobility and sophisticated ideals of their creators.

John met Brennan during his travels in Thailand in 2007, in the middle of his training and training in custom in-ear monitors (CIEM). Things slowly began to take shape when the first 20 CIEM sets were assembled on a bathroom floor somewhere in China in the middle of winter. The couple then met with the rest of the Noble team: Kaizer Soze, Nancy, dB Cooper, and Echo joined and helped the company get started in full swing.

John earned his nickname the Wizard after he custom-made the exquisite handcrafted wood bezels. This product stood out among others with painstaking detailed carving. It may not sound like something really outstanding now, but you have to understand: nothing special was happening in the field of CIEM at that time. All you could count on was engraving or printing some kind of bezel design.

We will not take the liberty of claiming that it was Wizard who started a new trend in custom design, but we do not remember anyone who used exotic wood faceplates, as well as materials such as gold and silver foil, computer printed circuit boards, color carbon fiber, wood inlays, gilding, etc.

Wizard truly strived to make each individual in-ear headphone a unique creation, and this seems to have raised the bar for CIEM manufacturers around the world. Jerry Harvey and the folks at Westone, along with Michael Santucci of Sensaphonics, all deserve a lot of credit for bringing this whole idea of individual IEMs to life in their day. Likewise, John Moulton deserves credit as a pioneer in IEM customization and aesthetic design. Could other experts be able to figure it out in the end? Probably to some extent. But Multon, no doubt, hastened the process a lot.

Noble Audio entered the market in October 2013 with a full range of customizations, from entry-level models with three drivers per channel to flagship models with 10 drivers per channel. The versatile models soon followed the customized ones and generated a lot of consumer interest. Noble today is one of the most unique and innovative brands in the world.

The company unveiled the full IEM lineup for enthusiasts and professionals alike, including their former flagship, the Kaiser 10 (or K10). The K10 is still considered one of the best in-ear headphones and has achieved legendary status. This model has 31 five-star reviews from independent reviewers on Headfi. What makes Noble products so unique is not only the incredible designs that the Wizard creates, but also the fact that the buyer always has at least three different options for their models: Universal, Acrylic CIEM and Prestige CIEM.

Most of the models are produced in various laboratories, either in Southeast Asia or the United States. Prestige models are completely different from those offered by any other manufacturer: they are made from solid materials such as exotic wood and carbon glass, or even small pine cones. Some models, such as, for example, Sage, and in the universal version received faceplates designed by Dr. Moulton himself.
