ESP E-II SV STD (Black)
ESP is a brand most of the guitarists surely know and are able to recognize almost immediately. Originally a Japanese company founded in 1975 has created numerous iconic instruments for legendary players spanning every genre of music. The range of guitars and basses on offer from ESP is huge, and they offer great value production line instruments all the way through to tailor-made made Custom Shop models.
All instruments in the ESP E-II series (formerly called the "ESP Standard") are built at the ESP factory in Tokyo, Japan, and are designed for professional guitarists who make no compromises in sound, feel or reliability for their guitars or basses. The SV series, used by Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom and Kai Hansen of Gamma Ray, for example, combines an aggressive look and an equally aggressive sound, as well as convenience and reliability. The choice of wood tells us the speed - this is an alder body and a maple neck thru neck with ebony fingerboard. Thanks to this choice of woods, the guitar is very responsive, with a bright and punchy attack, and the neck-through provides excellent sustain to the instrument. Of course, this is complemented by high-end hardware (Gotoh tuners, Floyd Rose Original bridge, Schaller straps), as well as classic heavy music - a pair of EMG 81 pickups, both powerful and responsive. The guitar comes in black with two contour lines that accentuate the shape and add sharp corners. ESP branded case included.
