The Electro-Voice PolarChoice Desktop 12 is a high-quality desktop wired gooseneck microphone. PC Desktop 12 features EV PolarChoice's exclusive miniature multi-pattern microphone. The versatility of the PolarChoice microphone makes it a true problem solver. With one omnidirectional and three directional polar patterns, the PolarChoice microphone is ideal for virtually any installation. Desktop 12 also features a switchable high-pass filter that helps reduce noise caused by vibration. PC Desktop 12 features a large push-button mute switch that has a much better feel than membrane switches. The mute button can be configured to operate in push-on/push-off, push-to-talk or push-to-mute mode. Programming the switches is easy without disassembling the microphone.

PolarChoice Desktop 12 is acoustically designed for high-quality sound reinforcement and broadcast applications. The frequency response is designed to reproduce sound over a wide range with very natural sound transmission both at long distances and at close range. It can be used on podiums, tables, cabinets and other places. To achieve maximum gain before feedback, PolarChoice's three directional polar patterns allow the user to select the polar pattern for optimal effect. For applications where gain before feedback is not an issue, an omnidirectional polar pattern is provided. In applications where speaking close to the microphone is required, a wind shield (included in delivery) is usually required to combat breathing and plosive noise, and in some cases wind noise from circulating air.
