PRS DW CE 24 Floyd (Waring Burst)
If you're looking for a PRS guitar optimized for progressive metal, look no further than the DW CE 24 Floyd. Mojotone Dustie Waring (DW) Tomahawk humbuckers create hot, musically flexible textures with a clean and uncompressed tone. You can send your solos skyward or dive with a Floyd Rose tremolo.
To give the DW CE 24 Floyd a rich yet balanced sound, PRS chose the time-honored combination of mahogany and maple. The body of the guitar gives off a natural warmth of tone that is perfectly offset by the brighter tone of the maple top. Together, these woods give an incredibly balanced sound. The maple neck and 24-fret maple fingerboard provide smooth playing and a full 2-octave range on each string. The neck of the Waring DW CE 24 Floyd is built for rock. This guitar has a slightly modified Pattern Thin neck shape. It is ideal for fast players and lead guitarists. It's not too big and not too small.
"This model has proven to be the most stable, enjoyable to play instrument I've ever owned. I've put it to the test, and it made me proud to have my name on it." – Dustie Waring, guitarist for Between the Buried & Me.
