Fender Custom Shop 1972 Tele Thinline Custom Journeyman Relic LTD (Custom Built)
Music as we know it today simply wouldn't be the same without the Fender Telecaster. One of the earliest mass-produced solid-body electric guitars introduced to the curious post-war world, the Telecaster, with its signature tone and no-frills aesthetic, was an instant hit with guitarists and has since become an essential instrument in the development of blues, rock and roll, country and R&B.
The Fender Custom Shop does some pretty unusual stuff, and with the Custom Shop 72 Telecaster Thinline, they really push the boundaries of Leo Fenders' vision. With the look and feel of a vintage guitar, this Custom Shop 72 Telecaster Thinline Journeyman Relic has all the playability and reliability of a brand new guitar. The lightweight ash wood body is finished in a stunning three-tone Faded Aged Sunburst lacquer that is timeless. The maple neck features a 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard for superb modern playing without any choking. The 60s style oval C-profile, 21 frets and lightly tinted back provide a truly organic playing experience.
The Custom Shop 72 Thinline needs a pair of pickups capable of delivering the classic Fender tone. With a pair of Fender Wide Range Humbuckers, she boasts a versatile and well-balanced selection. These humbuckers offer the highest tonal variety.
