MyChooz has prepared a review of Alfabeto GammaEQ

MyChooz.com is a site about sound and audio equipment. Their goal is to help the user decide on the choice of headphones, speakers and other audio equipment before purchasing.

MyChooz prepared a review of the unusual electro-acoustic guitar Alfabeto GammaEQ talking about the main pros and cons of the model. And we made a convenient selection on the topic in rating format. Ratings are based on ratings from reviews, all pros and cons are taken into account, even minor ones. We have selected the most important theses for you, and you can read the full review by clicking on the link or watching the video attached below.

Appearance and assembly: 9/10

The main highlight of the GammaEQ guitar design — These are 3 resonator holes instead of one, which are located closer to the top, closer to the performer. The second highlight — This is the headstock, with an internal cutout. It gives the guitar an even more interesting and futuristic look.

Guitar design Alfabeto GammaEQ, as the manufacturer claims, was designed in Italy, and this guitar was made in China. The coating is matte, the body shape is with a cutout. The size of the guitar is standard 4/4, and the shape of the soundboard is Auditorium.

Based on materials. The solid top is made from Engelmann spruce. The back and sides are made of mahogany. The neck material is also mahogany. The bridge and fretboard are made of polysander. Material of the upper and lower sills — bone.

Otherwise: 20 frets, cast tuners, high-quality and closed type, on the body there are metal holders for the belt.

The guitar is available in 2 colors: Natural wood, which is what I got for review. And Sunburst, a beautiful black-orange gradient.

In your hands, the guitar feels like a quality instrument. The only caveat is that one of the points on the fretboard on the 3rd fret is recessed more than the others. I am sure that it was I who got such a guitar and this is the exception to the rule than the rule. But when choosing, pay attention to this.

To summarize, the appearance of the Alfabeto GammaEQ guitar — gorgeous And everyone who saw it in my hands looked at it with pleasant surprise and said: “Listen, cool guitar, I’ve never seen one like this before.” Tested and works flawlessly.

Sound: 8.5/10

The main question that arose when I first saw the Alfabeto GammaEQ guitar, how do these 3 sound holes affect the sound?

To answer this question unambiguously, you need to take 2 guitars from the same types of wood and other parts of the body, with identical strings, but with one single difference: one guitar will have 3 resonator holes, the other will have one large and standard one like everyone. Since I did not have the opportunity to make such a comparison, I do not have a definite answer to this question.

Summarizing by sound. The Alfabeto GammaEQ guitar pleasantly surprised me and I was pleased with the sound. Both with and without connection. Nothing extraordinary, but it exceeded my expectations. Initially, I thought that “points” so to speak, they were thrown into the design and the manufacturer neglected the sound quality. But I was wrong. You can hear that special attention is paid here to balanced sound.

Preamp and EQ: 9/10

The GammaEQ guitar is equipped with a Fishman Isys+ piezoelectric pickup with a tuner. You can customize the sound of your guitar and output it through a combo amp, speakers, or line.

On the preamp: volume control, two-band equalizer for high and low frequencies, phase switch and tuner with LED display. The pickup runs on a Krona battery.

Bottom line: pros and cons

Alfabeto GammaEQ — This is a good electro-acoustic guitar that is suitable for rehearsals, concerts connected to a line or combo, and for acoustic concerts without connection. Even for recording, this guitar is well suited, since the frequency is balanced and you won’t have to adjust unnecessary resonances too much with the equalizer. As a guitar for everyday use at home and for outings — Alfabeto GammaEQ is also a great option.

Pros

  • Pleasant and balanced sound
  • Chic and unusual design
  • Good build
  • High-quality electronics and tuner
  • Quality case included

Cons

  • Job in the assembly, exactly in my model

Good: 9.1 – Good! Electro-acoustic guitar with an unusual design and good sound
